These expand to 2.5 and are exquisite. They are inlaid with some type of shell or mother of pearl. There is a slight defect on the end round tab on the handle, as pictured. This is a rare early Houston antique and a very nice pair of optical glasses. I love what I do and feel that we that can deal in antiques and preserve history are the luckiest of all.
