Antique Black Starr & Frost French MOP Pearl Shell Extendable/Adjustable Opera Theater Glasses Binoculars. Binoculars/opera glasses are marked Black Starr & Frost New York, with figural honeybee hallmark for Lemaire, Paris , and PAF/Made in France; as shown. Unusual design, the finger ring holder functions as both the adjustment knob and a holding ring when the glasses are not in use. Knob folds out to extend the lenses outward, then inward, to adjust. Theater glasses are in very nice condition considerate of age ; as shown. The optical quality of these glasses is excellent, compared to any mini’field’ binoculars I have and use when hiking. One lense is a bit cloudy; as shown. There are a few fine marks/scratches on the lenses, that do not appear to affect the clarity of vision, at least from my experience. Minor wear to black finish around lenses; as shown. Frames adjust from 2 1/4″ – 3″ in height.
