Rare 1900 Art Nouveau Genuine Tortoiseshell & Gold Round Pince Nez Frames Nos
Up for sale is a beautiful and very unique pair of 1900 Pince Nez Frames. These frames are in NOS(New Old Stock) Condition, and have never been used. These frames were made from genuine tortoiseshell, but predate the 1972 ban of the material, and were legally made. The frames were likely made in France, but are not marked. The bridge is not marked, but is likely gold filled. The frames are ready to wear, but may need to be fitted with your lenses by your local optician. When being fitted by an optician, you must make sure your optician understands and is competent to work with genuine tortoiseshell. The eye size for the pince nez is 39mm with an expanding bridge size to fit different sized noses.
