Vintage, gold plated, Cartier, round lens eyeglasses. I do not believe there is a prescription in these and if there is, it is very low. Lens measures 2 diameter. Right lens has the Cartier logo with the number 53 underneath it. These are vintage and the logo is not quite complete any longer however the glass logo is raised and not a cheap stamp as in a replica. Reclining panther with ball on each temple piece. On the left ear piece it reads. On the right ear piece it reads Made in France CE3436866. These are in very good to excellent condition. They do have a few marks on the temple pieces as if the owner might have put them in their mouth. Not bad just a couple of small scratches. I believe these are authentic based on my research online regarding authenticating Cartier eyeglasses. The only thing that makes me question their authenticity is there is a puddle in the plating on one of the temples. I have priced these based on that. If these are replicas, they are well done overall. Cartier generally has their logo stamped on both nose pieces on the inside of the glasses. This is a detail that many high end designers have, and a detail that many counterfeiters omit. On an authentic pair of Cartier glasses, if you run your thumb over the logo, you should be able to feel the ridges or some type of texture. This will indicate that it is not a cheap print on logo. They also have real metal screws, not plastic. Cartier uses metal screws. All measurements are approximate. I try to list everything I see that might be considered a defect.
